  1. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet and cook onions until soft.
  2. Add ground beef, sprinkle with salt and pepper and cook until meat is cooked through.
  3. Add in tomato paste, bone broth, apple cider vinegar, mustard powder, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, liquid smoke and water.
  4. Stir everything together until uniform and then tuck bay leaves into mixture.
  5. Cover and turn heat to simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove bay leaves, stir and serve meat on whole wheat buns or lettuce cups. Top with cheese if you like.
